Off Road – Video Review – The Ultimate “How To” Movie With Nathan Woods

The Ultimate “How To” Movie With Nathan Woods

From Director Taylor Congdon, who brought us films like WHY and Twitch, comes a new film called OffRoad, produced by The Assignment and narrated by Nathan Woods. OffRoad is a “How To” film any mortal can benefit from watching. With footage from races and footage created specifically for each segment OffRoad will show you how to conquer some of the most difficult terrain found while riding.

Throughout the film Woods fumbles through the dialog but we don’t mind it a bit. It gives you a feeling of comfort and makes you feel at ease with what you are hearing, as if he could be talking to you instead of the camera and it makes him seem just a little more human. But when he climbs on the bike, it’s like Clark Kent running to a phone booth. The guy simple shreds. Making hill climbs, log crossings, whoops, mud, roots and drop offs look far too easy. At one point he rides down a 15 foot vertical wall. It’s enough to make you sick. As we watch in amazement and listen with the intent of a child on Santa’s lap, we hope that even the tiniest tidbit of this wealth of information sinks in. OffRoad is sure to be a movie we will watch over and over again. You’ll be so stoked with this movie, the next time your pals are over, you will want to pop it into the DVD player and let them have a look. Come to think of it, perhaps not, it might be better to keep a lid on this one, don’t want them picking up on all the tricks before you do!
